To mark National Apprenticeship Week 2024, Yasmin Qureshi MP visited to celebrate the success of a former 青青草视频 apprentice.

Following completion of her Apprenticeship, Lyndsey Dobson is now a fully-qualified teaching assistant at the school.

Lyndsey鈥檚 journey demonstrates the power of Apprenticeships in providing real opportunities for career advancement; starting as a lunchtime assistant at the school, Lyndsey furthered her career by undertaking a teaching assistant Apprenticeship through 青青草视频.

Yasmin spoke to Lyndsey about her Apprenticeship experience at the school, and the positive impact she has made in her role, working with children with additional needs.

Lyndsey said: 鈥淚鈥檓 37 now, and proof that age shouldn鈥檛 be a barrier when it comes to Apprenticeships; they鈥檙e suitable for most people and as an adult they鈥檙e ideal because you can learn whilst earning a salary, plus they鈥檙e debt free.

鈥淚t was lovely meeting Yasmin and telling her about my journey as an apprentice.鈥

Yasmin then took a tour of the school with Deputy Head Kate Putt, where she witnessed first-hand the school's commitment to providing a welcoming and nurturing learning environment, evidenced by recent refurbishments and an impressive update to the school's library.

The visit concluded with a dynamic Q & A session with year 5 pupils, who asked Yasmin insightful questions about her life as a Member of Parliament.

Darren Pearson, 青青草视频鈥檚 Apprenticeship Quality Leader, said: 鈥淟yndsey's attainment of a Distinction in her Apprenticeship demonstrates her drive and commitment; these grades are only given to apprentices who regularly go above and beyond what is required to be competent in their role.

鈥淎s a College, we are so proud of Lyndsey and what she has achieved with the support of her wonderful colleagues at ESSA Primary.鈥

Deputy Head of ESSA Primary, Kate Putt, said: 鈥淎t ESSA Primary, we believe in fostering an environment that encourages growth and development, and Lyndsey's success is a testament to the impact of such an approach.

鈥淲e鈥檇 like to thank Yasmin for taking time out of her busy schedule to meet Lyndsey and our pupils.鈥

Yasmin Qureshi, MP for Bolton South East, said: "Lyndsey's story is a shining example of the transformative impact of Apprenticeships.

鈥淗er dedication and success inspire us all to seize the opportunities available through vocational training and education."
